Remembering Gallipoli: 110 Years

An Anzac day schools’ award Project

G10 – The Grange Humanities Club

Scope of Project

What happened on the 25th of April 1915 and in the Gallipoli Campaign in general?

What were the consequences of Australia’s role at Gallipoli and in WWI generally? Do those consequences still play a role in influencing Australian values and culture?

How has ANZAC Day been commemorated over the decades, from 1916 to 2025? What do the responses over the years tell us about an evolving Australian culture?

How has ANZAC Day enabled the broader community in Australia and other countries participating in the Gallipoli campaign, namely Australia, New Zealand, Canada, India, France, and Great Britain, to honour veterans?

How should ANZAC Day be commemorated at our school?
